So another year kicks off! 2010 was a resounding success at Mwnci Studios. Highlights included working with Lethargy, Brigade, Paper Airplanes and numerous other bands. Hopefully 2011 will bring more of the same!

Brigade:

In the summer of 2010, guided by producer Gethin Woolcock, Brigade hammered out their awesome new EP ‘Love Is A Duel’. This latest offering was released on the cover of Rock Sound Magazine back in December.

“Seven years into their career, the four-piece’s new EP, ‘Love Is A Duel’, underlines just how vital this band still are for UK music. It was recorded at the isolated spot of Mwnci Studios in West Wales with Gethin Woolcock, who co-produced the band’s first album, ‘Lights’; super-producer Chris Sheldon (Foo Fighters, Oceansize, Biffy Clyro) volunteered his services to mix it, having previously produced their second album, ‘Come Morning We Fight’.”

Lethargy:

The first ever paying customers through the door back in 2004! Lethargy returned in late 2010 to track their new album led by Producer extraordinaire Will Maya ( Panic Cell/Brigade/Breed 77)

“Mwnci Studio is by far the best residential recording studio Wales has to offer, if not the UK. I’ve worked and recorded in many studios, including Rockfield but none of them (apart from Mwnci) can offer a complete escape from civilization so you can focus on the most important thing: the music.

With the tranquil surroundings and the constant feeling of being back in time in an age when things were simpler, this residential recording studio is nothing but inspiring for any artist. Plus Jethro is about as cool as they come and has some cracking gear! I’ve made 2 albums at Mwnci so far and will be going back when my next project is ready to track.”
